Connections

Panels and accessories lock together with steel-to-steel connections which are stronger than the panels themselves. This prevents the kind of inmate tampering which frequently occurs when attachment is to concrete. To remove opportunity for hiding contraband, all joints are caulked with an epoxy stronger than steel.

Panels and connectors are designed to resist all earthquake force requirements of the jurisdiction.

TENCOR provides a complete range of accessories built with the TCS technology, (including beds, shelves, desks, and shower and water closet stalls) or can incorporate accessories from other sources. All accessories are securely attached to our panels with steel-to-steel connections. This averts their removal and use as weapons, the kind of inmate tampering which frequently occurs when attachment is to concrete. Joints are caulked with an epoxy stronger than steel so that no connections remain exposed. This maintains the pick-proof, contraband-free surface. Security doors and windows are welded directly to the tensional core of the panels. All service accessories (lighting, electrical, observation cameras, intercom speakers, sprinkler heads, and security air grilles) are integrated into the TCS to provide security and facilitate installation.

Panels can also be disassembled for renovation, however, the process of removing the epoxy and cutting the door and window welds could require that some panels be replaced.
